About Japaate
What Japaate is, and who builds it.
What is Japaate?
Japaate is an AI-powered sales and distribution platform for consumer brands. It connects salesmen, retailers, managers and distributors through four products that share one set of live data: a Salesman App, a Retailer App, an Admin Panel and a Distributor Management System (DMS).
Who makes Japaate?
Japaate is built by IBAMAA Private Limited, a DPIIT-recognised startup under the Government of India's Startup India programme (Certificate No. DIPP257924), based in Daman, India. It runs on Amazon Web Services and is a member of the AWS Activate startup programme.
Who is Japaate for?
Japaate is for consumer brands and their distributors that sell through field sales teams and retail outlets, including FMCG, Pharma, Dairy, Beverages, Cosmetics, and Agro & Seeds.
What problem does Japaate solve?
Japaate replaces the WhatsApp, Excel and paper workflows most field sales teams run on. Brands see visits, orders and secondary sales as they happen, schemes are applied automatically, and distributor stock and claims stay current.
How is Japaate different from a CRM?
A CRM tracks leads and deals for a sales pipeline. Japaate runs day-to-day distribution: beat routes, store visits, retailer orders, schemes, distributor stock, claims and invoicing, with analytics across all of them.
How is Japaate different from other SFA tools?
Most SFA tools cover only the salesman. Japaate covers the salesman, the retailer, the distributor and the manager in one system that shares one set of data, so an order, a scheme or a stock movement updates everywhere at once.
Salesman App
For field reps on their beat.
What does the Japaate Salesman App do?
The Salesman App is a pocket command centre for field reps: route beats, store check-ins, order taking with a smart cart, schemes and incentives, attendance, collections, returns and expense claims, in one app built for one-hand use during store visits.
What happens if the network drops during a store visit?
The visit in progress, including the cart and notes, is saved on the phone, so a dropped signal or a closed app doesn't lose the order being built. The rep picks up where they left off and places the order once they're connected.
How are store visits verified?
In Japaate, a store check-in only works within 40 metres of the outlet, and reps start their route with a selfie, so every visit on the report really happened.
What is the smart cart?
The smart cart is the Salesman App's order screen. It suggests products for each outlet, based on what sells there and in nearby shops, and works out schemes and free goods automatically.
Can reps see schemes while taking an order?
Yes. Japaate's scheme engine applies offers such as slab pricing and free goods on the same or another product automatically when the order is booked, so reps never miss a scheme and retailers get the right price.
How does attendance work?
Reps punch in with a selfie and their location in the Salesman App. Leave, holidays and tour plans are handled in the same app.
Can reps record payments in the app?
Yes. Reps record collections by cash, UPI, RTGS/NEFT or cheque against the outlet's pending invoices. The Salesman App records payments; it doesn't process them.
Is Japaate available in local languages?
Yes. The Salesman App runs in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam, and the Retailer App in the same languages except Malayalam. Teams are also trained in their own language during onboarding.
Where can I download the apps?
The Japaate field app is available on Google Play and the App Store. The Admin Panel and the distributor system run in your browser.
Retailer App
For store owners placing orders.
What is the Japaate Retailer App?
The Japaate Retailer App is a B2B ordering app for retail store owners. Retailers browse the catalogue, order with scheme pricing worked out for them, reorder from past invoices in one tap and check their ledger.
Does the Retailer App show schemes and offers?
Yes. Live schemes show with countdowns, and free goods are calculated automatically in the cart.
Can retailers see what they owe?
Yes. The ledger shows the outstanding balance, pending invoices and recent payments, which reduces disputes between retailers, reps and distributors.
Does the Retailer App replace the sales rep?
No. It adds an ordering channel between visits. Reps still build relationships, run audits and push new products; the app captures the orders that would otherwise go to WhatsApp or phone calls.
Admin Panel & Japaate AI
For leadership, and the AI.
What is the Japaate Admin Panel?
The Japaate Admin Panel is the browser-based command centre for sales leadership: live KPIs, a live field map, targets and scorecards, KPIs and rewards, and an AI sales assistant.
What can I ask the Japaate AI assistant?
You can ask about your sales, orders, targets and distributors in plain language, typed or spoken, for example which areas are behind target this month. Answers come back as tables you can export to Excel.
Does Japaate use AI?
Yes, in three places. Managers can ask the AI assistant in the Admin Panel about their sales in plain language, typed or spoken, and export the answer to Excel. Targets Atlas uses AI to split a company target down to every route. And the Salesman and Retailer apps suggest products for each store's cart based on what sells. See the AI assistant.
How do I allocate targets in Japaate?
Targets Atlas uses AI to split the company target across zones, regions, areas and routes, adjusting for festivals and seasons. A sales scorecard then shows who is on track and who is at risk.
Can I see a live map of my team?
Yes. The Admin Panel shows reps, retailers and distributors on one live map. You can drill down through the sales hierarchy, from national head to a single salesman, and see each rep's visits on a timeline.
Can different managers see different data?
Yes. Japaate is role-aware: every user sees what their role allows, across a sales hierarchy up to six levels deep. Field reps see actions; leaders see insight across their territory.
Distributor Management (DMS)
For distributors and their stock.
What is the Japaate DMS?
The Japaate DMS is a distributor management system. It runs a distributor's day-to-day business, including primary orders, goods receipts, live stock, billing, delivery loadouts, claims, credit limits and ledgers, in the same system the brand sees.
Will Japaate work with our existing Tally / ERP system?
Yes, for Tally. Your distributors can import sales registers from Tally or Vyapar, or upload Excel and PDF bills, and Japaate matches products and shops automatically, learning from every correction. Reports export to Excel.
How does Japaate handle distributor claims?
Return, sample and scheme claims are raised and reviewed in the Japaate DMS against the orders and invoices already in the system, instead of being rebuilt in spreadsheets.
Does Japaate support super-stockists?
Yes. Japaate supports a super-stockist to distributor hierarchy, so brands that sell through super-stockists can see stock and orders at both levels.
Can the DMS help plan deliveries?
Yes. The Japaate DMS builds delivery loadouts and predicts loads, and records delivery confirmation and collections against bills.
Pricing, onboarding & support
Quotes, go-live and who helps you.
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing is tailored to your team size, chosen products and integration needs. There are no fixed plans: we build you a quote that matches your operation. Book a demo and we'll share a transparent proposal within 48 hours.
Do I have to buy all 4 products, or can I start small?
Start with any combination. Many customers begin with the Salesman App and Admin Panel, then add the Retailer App or DMS as they grow. Your pricing scales with your usage.
Can I change products or seats later?
Yes. You pay only for the products and seats you use. Scale up, scale down or mix and match, and your pricing adapts.
How long does it take to get Japaate up and running?
Most customers are fully live within 14 days, including product catalog setup, team onboarding and field training. Larger deployments with custom integrations may take 3–4 weeks.
What does onboarding involve?
Four steps. Discovery: we map your sales operation, hierarchy and workflows in a 60-minute call. Configure: our onboarding team loads your products, schemes, routes and teams into Japaate. Train & deploy: reps, retailers and managers are trained in their own language. Grow: a dedicated success manager keeps improving how you use it.
What kind of support do I get?
Every customer gets a dedicated Customer Success Manager, 24×7 WhatsApp support and quarterly business reviews. No chatbots, no ticket queues: just real people who know your business.
How do I book a demo or talk to the team?
Use the demo form and we'll reach out within 24 hours. You can also WhatsApp or call us on +91 97372 80309 or +91 91522 09923, or email [email protected].
Data & security
Where data lives and who sees it.
Is my data secure?
Your data is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Mumbai, with stored files encrypted and private by default. Every company's data is kept separate, access follows each person's role, and sign-in uses one-time passwords. The AI assistant cannot see salary, bank or Aadhaar details.
Where is Japaate data hosted?
Japaate runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Mumbai region, India.
Who owns our data, and can we export it?
You do. Your data belongs to your company, and reports can be exported to Excel whenever you need them.
Does Japaate work with WhatsApp?
Japaate lets you share invoices and marketing banners to WhatsApp straight from the app. Orders are placed in the Salesman and Retailer apps.
